We recently produced a blog unpacking bathroom furniture (not literally!), so if you’ve read that, you must be wondering where to start selecting your bathroom units?
WHAT ARE THE CHOICES FOR YOUR BATHROOM UNITS?
What are the options out there?
First of all, you need to decide whether you want fitted or modular units. This is largely a matter of stylistic preference, although certain spaces will allow for modular units more readily than others.
When it comes to style, you have a lot of decisions to make. Here, we break down the various trends for bathroom furniture.
Curved bathroom units
Curves are having a moment, which is music to our ears, as we’ve always enjoyed experimenting with different forms thanks to the flexibility and versatility of our SMO™ and manufacturing processes.
Curves give you an organic shape, which is more tactile than your typical straight edges. It’s relaxing to behold the gentle slopes of Joya’s worktop or the wavy pattern of Delta or Aviso’s tapered door units. Yoko gives you a quirky flick to the left or to the right, almost like a little comma with the ultimate sass. Solo gives you a semi-circular basin design standing out from the worktop. Whatever the size of your bathroom, you can enjoy curvaceous bathroom units.
Square and Rectangular Bathroom Units
They may be square, but they’re certainly never boring. While curves may be the bathroom units of choice in 2022, rectangular units have not gone anywhere. Perhaps you want a design that’s more formal or sophisticated but with added flair. In which case, why not try Paname with its decorative metal rail and unusual routing design in its fascia? Saxo also gives you that bit of dazzle with its LED strip.
For a blend of square and ultra-contemporary, we recommend our brand-new Venus collection, which is a thick square basin design that’s rounded at the corners.
Traditional Style
Most of our designs are contemporary, however, if you’re more into your country style traditional, there is definitely a unit for you. Provence-style doors are a staple with our fitted furniture. It was proving so popular as a design that we decided to introduce “Provencal”, a collection that embraces the French country style in a modular format. Provencal offers a country-style fascia with grooved side panels if you’re after some vintage appeal.
Shall we make it a double?
With your bathroom units, you have lots of flexibility – whether you want extra storage, one or two drawers or additional cupboard space. If you have a large area, why make do with a single basin or a narrow unit? You can double up with an extra-long worktop or his and her basins.
Mix and match
Bathroom units come in collections of vanity, tall and WC units. You can pick from a wide variety of colours that match your bath panels and wall panels, so everything is beautifully harmonised throughout the space. Or you can select a contrasting colour for your wall panels, shower tray and worktop to make a bold statement.
