SMO™ is an exclusive, solid material developed by Ambiance Bain
Created from a mixture of up to 75% natural stone powders and low density mineral granules, from recycling, this formula has made the material significantly lighter whilst retaining its strength and durability to withstand impacts and temperature swings.
During the moulding process, a 1mm thick protective gel coal is applied which ensures a perfect finish and meets all the sanitary constraints in the modern designer bathroom.
SMO™ is a hand moulded and random cast material. It is coloured using organic powder pigments and the finest iron fillings to create our unique colours and finish effects. Each item may have slight imperfections in size, surface and flatness as well as small shade variations between pieces not manufactured together. This is all part of the tolerances of this modern moulded material. The permitted dimensional tolerances that must be taken into consideration are as follows:

All Ambiance Bain shower trays have an anti-slip design of varying classification as detailed above. For a higher specification ANTI-SLIP finish a special coating must be applied during installation.
