Finding Inspiration for Your Bathroom Project

We’re all experts at doing everything at home, but finding home décor inspiration in your immediate environment can be exhausting.

With so many online options, where do you begin?

We’ve brought our favourite creative resources together to help you gather ideas for your bathroom project.

So, grab your cup of coffee and let’s get started!

ONE: Follow home décor experts on Instagram

Instagram is a visual platform and one we all love using.

The wealth of beautiful bathroom pics is enough to spoil us for a century.

To keep up with the latest trends and innovations, it’s a great idea to follow Instagram accounts that regularly update their stream of bathroom-related content.

You can begin with following some of our bathroom retailers (who love to post Ambiance Bain bathroom projects as well as others) and also home magazines and interior designers.

If you’re struggling to find these accounts, then Instagram will let you follow hashtags such as #bathroominspo, #bathroomsofinstagram etc.

Every time you log into your app, you’ll be greeted with an array of ideas. Don’t forget to save your favourite ones to view later on.

You can even organise your saved posts into different collections or themes to keep relevant images together.

TWO: Visit bathroom retailers’ websites

Bathroom retailers will have images of their showroom pictures and latest projects for you to peruse. They’ll often keep their socials even more up-to-date than their site so follow their Facebook page for current trends and ideas.

THREE: Create Pinterest boards

Pinterest was designed for inspiration.

Once you sign up with Pinterest, you can start searching for bathroom images and save your pins into boards. Each board relates to a theme of your home décor project, as well as colours, accessories and styles.

With the Google browser extension, you can pin images directly from websites you’re viewing so you can quickly amass hundreds of images.

FOUR: Read home décor magazines online

As well as studying our favourite artists and noticing beautiful design in nature, we also love reading.

You can watch out for the latest trends via interior design magazines. The Spruce, Elle Décor and Ideal Home are among our favourites and they really fuel creativity.

FIVE: Use Canva to design your mood board

Once you’ve collected a good selection of ideas, you can use a tool such as Canva to make a mood board.

Canva is a free, easy-to-use graphic design tool that will help you put together your ideas.

All you have to do is select a pre-existing template from the vast selection available, upload your photographs and then arrange them on a gorgeous canvas you can then download and print.

Take your inspiration file with you to one of our bathroom retailers who’ll be able to advise you on the best bathroom products to help you realise your vision.
